We update our database daily at about 6:30am EST. Data releases should appear in the Macrospect database the following day.
Some agencies may not update their source files at the same time that they issue their press releases; in those cases the data my take longer to appear in our database
We are working towards making our updates more timely.

Seasonally Adjusted at Annual Rates.
This is a common method of comparing growth rates for quarterly or monthly data. Seasonal Adjustment adjusts for regular patterns in economic data that occur within a year in some types of economic activity. For example, many retail industries have large spikes in sales around Christmas.
Annualized rates refer to period-to-period growth rates calculated using the actual month-to-month or quarter-to-quarter growth rate, scaled up to be equivalent to the annual growth rate. For example, if car sales increased by 0.5% from one month to the next, the annualized growth rate would be that rate of growth for each of 12 months, i.e. (1+0.005)12 = 1.062, or 6.2%.

A dataset is a collection of data series that you are interested in.
You can create one or more sets, and when you find data series you think you'll want to keep track of in the future, add them to a set.
Once you've set up your dataset(s), you can review them or download the data from them at any time.
The data in datasets is always updated when the Macrospect database is updated.
